Broadcaster Zoe Ball has issued a major health update for her famous dad after he sent fans spiralling with his worrying health update. On Monday (March 23), the Children's TV presenter, Johnny Ball, admitted he knows he "doesn't have long left" in a new interview with The Mirror, reflecting on ageing, illness, and what matters most in life from his Buckinghamshire home. Reassuring fans he's never been more content with life, he chuckled: "I'm laughing more now than at any other time in my life.
"I have my wife, my dog, my life. I'm very happy with my life. I'm happy that I'm still fit at 87. By rights, I don't have long left - I want to spend it with a smile on my face."

Shortly after his comments went live, fans feared the worst for the TV presenter online. Now, Zoe has put these fears to rest as she shared a family update of her parents, who recently returned home from a getaway to Cervina last week.
Sharing a trio of snaps from their family holiday, she gushed: "My Dad, 87 years young and still loving his skiing. Adore these pics of him and my amazing step mum, Di, on their trip to Cervina last week.
"Proof indeed that, despite certain newspaper stories, the tales of his demise have been somewhat exaggerated. Happy to report he's fine and dandy and loving life! #youngatheart [heart emoji]."
It didn't take long before fans flocked to the comments to pass on their well-wishes to the star online. One user penned: "[three heart emojis] That's great to see. Love this. My dad is 76. He used to love skiing, but he hasn't been since lockdown. I really, really hope he gets back on the slopes again."
Another agreed: "Go on Johnny and Di", as a third chimed in with: "Inspirational, how gorgeous is this! [heart-eyes emoji, heart emoji]." A fourth echoed: "Wow, what an amazing man. Love this [heart emoji]."

Johnny, who is best known for presenting shows like Play School and Think of a Number, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2022. Despite the awful diagnosis, after three months of daily radiation treatment, he was given the all-clear.
It comes after Zoe gave her own death admission during an appearance on the podcast Where There's a Will, There's a Wake, with Mel Giedroyc. She opened up about her own death as well as the passing of her mother, Julie Peckham, who died last April following a battle with cancer.
When talking about the BBC star's love of Glastonbury Festival, Zoe admitted she wants her ashes scattered at the Shangri-La stage as "it's the place where I've had the most fun with my friends, my kids."
She added: "If it is summertime, take some of the ashes. I'd quite like to be cremated. I just think bung me in the back of the car. Some of my friends take some of my ashes to Glastonbury, join the festival."
