TOWIE star Jordan Brook’s girlfriend Sophie Kasaei has issued an emotional statement after he was diagnosed with meningitis while in hospital. Sophie, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, took to social media today (March 22) while her partner is still in hospital, with “swelling on his brain”.

ITV reality star Jordan has been in hospital for more than 11 days, admitting this is the “hardest battle” he’s had to face. His case of meningitis is not thought to be related to the Kent outbreak, where 34 separate cases were reported this week, and which has killed two young people. Jordan was diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis.

Taking to Instagram, Sophie shared: “Life can come at you really fast. Literally in the blink of an eye.

“One minute you’re dreaming about your future together… and the next, you’re sitting in a hospital room, holding onto hope with everything you have.

“Watching the person I love in pain and fear, something I can’t fight for them is the hardest thing I’ve ever known. And through all this I’m carrying the tiniest piece of us a reminder that even in the darkest moments, life is still growing, still holding on.

She went on: “Every day I fall in love with you more and more @jordanbrook11 this whole thing feels like I’m living in a nightmare waiting to be woke up by you next to me in bed. But I’m just grateful [you’re] here and fighting for your family.

“Our little baby boy is what is keeping this family going. I love you!”

Jordan shared the post to his own Instagram story, writing: “My everything always. I choose you every lifetime.”
