The wife of the late Hairy Biker star Dave Myers is set to pocket nearly £1.6million after closing down one of her husband's firms, which he used to channel his TV fortune. On Saturday (March 14), it was revealed that Liliana Myers has put Sharpletter Limiter into liquidation, with documents revealing that the business had cash reserves of £1.383,989, £2,001 in investments, directors' loans of £198,739 and a tax refund of £29,384. A declaration of solvency shows that the assets total £1,614,113, leaving Liliana as the company's sole owner, with a staggering £1,589,421 after accountancy fees and other costs to close the business.
Dave met Lili in her homeland of Romania back in 2005 while he was filming with his friend, and it was love at first sight. He first met her from the other side of a reception desk in a Transylvanian hotel.
She had already given birth to two children from a previous marriage, but later divorced him. After their first encounter, Dave and Lili emailed each other for two years before calling her for 30 seconds a day, then more than once a day.
In 2007, she moved with her 11-year-old daughter to Dave’s home, with the happy couple tying the knot in 2011. Dave never had any children but was a loving step-father to her children. Unlike her famous husband, the doting wife works as a coach and hypnotherapist specialising in grief and loss.
When Dave died, she penned an emotional tribute on Facebook, which read: "Rest in peace, my love. My wonderful, brave man! Till next time we meet!" His co-star Si added that he "will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime."
Following Dave's death, his co-star Si King confirmed that The Hairy Bikers are no more. Si, 59, and Dave became one of the most beloved British duos, with their friendship forged over their shared passion for food and motorbikes.
They starred in a number of cooking shows, including The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook and The Hairy Dieters, creating more than 30 series together. But two years after his death, their partnership has officially come to an end.
Speaking to the Radio Times in January, Si confirmed: "It's done. That's it. The Bikers were plural. There's no Hairy Bikers without my mate. He doesn't stop being your best mate just because he's passed away.
"That's never going to go. We were like brothers: we drove each other mad because we were two very different people, but we absolutely adored each other. So nobody's ever going to take his place."
