Donald Trump provided a major update on the war in Iran as he spoke to the press after holding a phone call with Russia President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders held a call on Monday evening, during which they discussed the operation in Iran and the war in Ukraine, according to Russian state agency TASS. The pair, the news outlet added, also touched upon the topic of Venezuela during their hour-long chat.
Following their call, Mr Trump spoke to a US news outlet, suggesting Operation Epic Fury, the codename for the strikes being launched on Iranian targets by Israel and Washington, may soon come to an end. He said: "I think the war is very complete, pretty much."
Speaking to CBS News, he added: "They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force...Wrapping up is all in my mind."
