Posting pictures of hosts Craig Rowe, Lee Juggernauth and Ben Hillman she fumed: "For crying out loud! @Channel4 Place In The Sun replaced with bloody Crufts! I don’t believe it. Why not put it on instead of Come Dine With Me? There are thousands of old girls like me who rely on our fix of Craig or Ben or Lee! I am NOT happy." She received support from her followers in the comments. "Craig Rowe also works on QVC if you need a fix of him lol. Nice to see a sunny programme in the afternoons," one wrote.
A second sympathised: "Love that programme too but most TV channels prefer to put on sport these days unfortunately."
A third chimed in: "From tomorrow for a while, it will be Crufts over the weekend and then the Paralympics."
Carol wasn't alone in her complaint as other viewers also took to X to lament the change in the schedule.

Crufts runs for four days at the NEC in Birmingham and will end on March 8 when they crown the Best in Show.
While A Place In The Sun's schedule has been disrupted by the coverage, fans of the show are in for a treat from Monday March 16th.
A brand new series of A Place In The Sun: What Happened Next will launch and revisit some of the memorable buyers from the show.
The ten part series will air daily over a fortnight reuniting with 20 couples and families who swapped the UK for a new life in destinations including France, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Malta, Corfu and Lanzarote.
