
A school has plunged into a lockdown following an "incident", with police attending the scene. The Maesydderwen Comprehensive School in Ystradgynlais, Wales, was locked down on Monday morning following threats made on the phone, police said.
Dyfed-Powys Police said in a statement, as reported by WalesOnline: "Officers are currently working with the school following a report of a threat made on the telephone. As a precaution and to prioritise everyone’s safety, the school implemented its lockdown procedure. Parents have been informed through the school messaging app." A previous statement read: "We are dealing with an incident at Maesydderwen Comprehensive School in Ystradgynlais, following a report made at approx 10.45am this morning. Officers are in attendance. More updates to follow."
