Israeli socialite Hofit Golan, 40, also posted footage from her hotel balcony showing rockets and explosions hitting the hotel, having touched down in Dubai just hours before. She wrote on Instagram: "After being debriefed from my flights as the skies closed above us. I came home to see the Palm filling up with smoke! I can see rockets and explosions from my balcony!" Vicky Pattison confirmed that she and husband Ercan Ramadan are 'safe and trying to stay calm' during the airstrikes. The pair touched down in Dubai this week after a lavish first-class Emirates flight, and within hours of unwinding on the beach, they were forced to take cover.

"Ercan and I were due to fly to Sydney this evening. But like many others our flight was cancelled and we are now effectively stuck in Dubai", she said. "We're receiving a lot of messages from people asking if we're ok which we are. We are currently in our hotel and have been assured we're safe.", reports the Mirror.

"We are aware that the situation that is unfolding is scary and I'm also aware that there's a lot of videos circulating on social media which are understandably concerning. I'm not sure what else to say, other than we're doing our best to stay calm, not feed any unconfirmed narratives and we're thinking of everyone who is feeling unsettled and unsafe right now".

Love Island favourite Laura Anderson, 36, has also reassured concerned fans that she and two year old daughter Bonnie 'are fine' after touching down in Dubai during the early hours of Saturday morning.

She posted: "Horrendous situation. Bonnie and I are fine."

Fellow Love Islander Arabella Chi is also close to the blast sites. Petra Ecclestone and husband Sam Palmer, who moved to Dubai with their children, remain stuck in the UAE.
