Leonardo DiCaprio is hoping to win  his seventh BAFTA this evening following his  Best Leading Actor nomination at 51 - and this could be an unusual occasion where he arrives with a partner over 25.

DiCaprio and 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti have been together since 2023.

Questions persist over whether DiCaprio has finally committed to Ceretti as the 51-year-old becomes the youngest ever seven-time BAFTA leading actor nominee.

Observers have highlighted this relationship marks a shift from his well-documented pattern of ending romances with girlfriends shortly after their 25th birthday.

One Reddit user said about his relationship with Ceretti saying: "WAIT - SHE'S 26? ! Is she the oldest that Leo has dated?". Another responded: "He took the criticism and raised his limit to 27.", reports the Mirror.

A third joked: "27 is a BIG number. Leo prefers to think of it as 26 years, 11 months and 29 days."

Even Sabrina Carpenter had a birthday cake for her 25th with a meme of DiCaprio's face reading "nooo you're so sexy don't turn 25."

Yet the clock is running for Ceretti, 24 years Leo's junior, as there appears to be no record of the 90s icon ever having dated a woman beyond the age of 27.

In 2022, the actor separated from Morrone who was 20 when they began dating whilst he was 43. News of their break up emerged shortly after her 25th birthday.

Morrone defended her relationship with DiCaprio on Instagram saying: "Good morning people and happy Friday. I just read some of the comments on my Instagram and... my God, people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about.

"I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interests elsewhere because living without hatred feels pretty good."

Beyond Morrone, he was romantically involved with Bar Refaeli until 2010, the year she reached 25.

The Hollywood star also had a short-lived romance with Kelly Rohrbach in 2015, the year she turned 25, whilst he was with Nina Agdal from 2016 through to 2017 when they separated the year she reached 25.

There appeared a glimmer of promise when DiCaprio was momentarily connected to supermodel Gigi Hadid, a then 27 year old mother.

However, any expectations were quickly extinguished when reports emerged of him potentially courting 19 year old Eden Polari, according to the Daily Mail.

He subsequently dated 23-year-old Victoria Lamas, whose father revealed she was "smitten" with the 48-year-old.

His remaining public partnerships, including his high-profile affair with Gisele Bündchen which endured from 1999 through 2005, all featured him courting women in their early twenties.

Even during his younger years he favoured a younger partner, dating the teenage Gisele when he was 25. They parted when she was 23.

The break up was reportedly cordial.

DiCaprio told Esquire: "Six months of being on location or being off in Morocco or someplace like that is not the best thing for a relationship. A lot of your life is put on hold when you make movies. Everything, whether personal relationships or friendships, is put on ice when you go on location for five or six months, away from everybody."

In her book Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Bundchen reflected on her relationship with DiCaprio saying "everyone who crosses our path is a teacher, they come into our lives to show us something about ourselves and I think that's what he was.

"What is good versus bad. I honour him for what he was."

Following Gisele, DiCaprio began dating Bar Refaeli, maintaining an on-off romance from 2005 to 2011 before he ultimately ended their relationship... in the year.
