Drivers on the M25 faced huge delays on Tuesday after a broken down lorry forced the closure of two lanes. Delays have been increasing on the M25 anti-clockwise between J8 (Reigate) and J7 (M23) this afternoon.
National Highways said just before 6pm there were six miles of congestion on approach and a 45-minute delay, but traffic quickly increased, with drivers told to expect 120-minute delay at approximately 6.34pm. The organisation added in its update: "Lanes 3 and 4 (of 4) are closed, whilst traffic is passing the incident in lanes 1 and 2."
