
While the MRI confirmed the back lump is currently benign, doctors warned that its protective "capsule" has torn. This damage creates a potential risk of it transitioning into liposarcoma, a rare type of cancer. Julia admitted this warning highlighted the urgent need for surgical removal.
During a post-cancer follow-up MRI, doctors also discovered a benign cyst near the pineal gland in her brain. Although likely present since birth and not requiring surgery, she has been advised to undergo regular monitoring every six months to ensure no growth occurs.
Reflecting on her journey, Julia shared a heartbreaking statement that "bad stuff is going to happen to all of us." She emphasised that mental resilience comes from accepting life’s fundamental challenges, noting her 2021 diagnosis "forced her to change" how she supports her overall health.
Despite her health "end of life" fears, Julia recently completed a 23-day expedition to Antarctica for her new ITV series. She described the trip as a big decision to prove her inner strength and refuse to live under a "cloud of fear" following her cancer battle.
