Piers Morgan took to social media with a furious tirade after it was revealed that Prime Minister Keir Starmer has now handed out his 14th U-turn in less than two years. This comes after the government planned to postpone local elections in 30 areas of England due to take place in May, but after a court challenge from Reform UK, they once again changed their minds. In new legal advice, government lawyers now say the proposed cancellation of these elections would be illegal, and as a result, over four and a half million extra people will be voting in May after all.
As Reform leader Nigel Farage, has hailed the victory as a "democracy in this country," and now called for Local Government Secretary Steve Reed's resignation. The former ITV presenter Piers, has now furiously weighed in and revealed that he previously offered advice to the UK's humiliated leader.
Taking to X/Twitter, the 60-year-old fumed: "I saw @Keir_Starmer at a party last summer and offered some unsolicited advice: ‘Stop the endless U-turns, Prime Minister.’
"He ignored my advice, and has carried on doing endless U-turns. We’re now at 14 reversals of policy announcements. FOURTEEN! It’s so pathetically weak."
The post saw others air their frustrations in the comments, as a fed-up Brit fumed: "Ignoring advice early on can sometimes cost credibility later. Reversals like this make it harder for people to trust the direction of leadership."
Another added: "Fourteen signals a lack of core principles. Voters don’t trust leaders who don’t know what they stand for."
One blasted: "Leadership requires a compass, not a weather vane. 14 U-turns isn't governing; it's just spinning."

This isn't the first time Piers has called out Sir Keir, as this post comes just days after the journalist issued a brutal verdict about the Prime Minister's future in Downing Street.
"I’ve never seen a government with that kind of majority unravel quite as fast as this. And if he’s not careful, and doesn’t act properly and quickly, it could bring the Government down."
In the wake of 14 U-turns, Piers spoke on Sir Keir's possible replacement and added: "If I had to put money on it, either Andy Burnham or Wes Streeting."
