TV presenter Julia Bradbury has opened up about another lump that had been discovered after her breast cancer diagnosis, and the warning that came with it from doctors. Julia, who previously was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy, found a second lump -- this time on her back -- shortly before the operation. Given the magnitude of what she was dealing with at the time, she had pushed it to the back of her mind so she could focus on the breast cancer, the operation, and the recovery.

She explained that a physical therapist had discovered the lump during a massage. She showed doctors at the time of the mastectomy, who had informed her that it was a "harmless fatty lump" and she said that nobody had mentioned the word cancer. However, she got it checked again this year and was given a warning by doctors.

Speaking in her Daily Mail column, she explained that she was encouraged to get it checked again last year due to its size, 5cmx8cm, and she finally decided to earlier this month. Julia noted that she had really started to notice it when she was doing yoga, her family were mentioning it more and it gets "bashed a lot" when exercising.

She said: "Earlier this month I finally had it examined with a private MRI scan - and was told it was indeed benign. The relief was huge." However, she was warned by the doctors who told her the "capsule" surrounding it had torn and therefore there is a slight risk that it could transition into a type of cancer called liposarcoma. Julia admitted that this comment had made her realise how important it was to remove it.

While she knows it's important to get rid of it, Julia admitted she wouldn't allow herself to think negatively about it, adding that she became so busy that when it came to dealing with the lump, "life got in the way".

And it's not the only health concern Julia has faced in recent years too, she explained that last year during an MRI as part of her post-cancer follow-up check, "a benign cyst was found next to the pineal gland deep in the centre of my brain".

Julia was informed that she may have been born with it and that no surgery was needed, but she was encouraged to have another scan in six months to confirm there hasn't been any growth or change. However, with the positive feedback she's had from doctors, she has reassured family that she is fine, doctors have just wanred her to be keeping a close eye on any health changes.
