John Torode and Lisa Faulkner have been happily married since 2019 and spend as much time together as possible, both at home and on their joint cooking show, John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen. However, the couple have been forced to spend time apart as Lisa, 53, is currently on a UK theatre tour of Single White Female – her first stage role in more than 20 years. Although it means she is away from their home in North London, the pair are having no problem making it work.
"I have Sundays and Mondays off, so my lovely John has picked me up every Saturday night so far from where I’ve been and we drive back chatting in the car," Lisa told the Mirror. "He’s come to see the show twice in two weeks. We have two days together, then he packs me off with lovely soup and noodles." Lisa opened up about how much she misses John, 60, who was incredibly supportive when she was offered the role in the production.

She added: "I really miss him because we normally spend so much time together. Suddenly, we’re apart – this is new. He’s been so supportive, though. He said when I got the offer, 'You’ve got to take this job, it’s going to be great for you.'"
Revealing the secret behind their lasting relationship, Lisa gushed: "We have each other’s backs. He’s fantastic at what he does - the kindest, most wonderful man and very funny. It’s so lovely to see him shine, and I think he feels the same about me.
"To cook with John, and to do our cooking shows together, it’s so great. He’s a proper chef and I’m a home cook, but we teach each other different bits. I learn so much from him. That’s the key. I really respect him and what he does."
Many people believe the couple first met when Lisa appeared on Celebrity MasterChef in 2010, however, this is not the case.
They actually first crossed paths back in 1996 on the set of ITV's This Morning.

"Everyone thinks we met on MasterChef, but we'd actually met before that on This Morning in 1996. John doesn't remember! I thought he was a really fit chef," Lisa previously told Prima.
They reunited more than a decade later on the BBC cooking show, with Lisa admitting she was initially "terrified" of John and what he might say about her food.
Their relationship wasn't instant, as they were both with other people at the time. John was married to Jessica Torode from 2000 to 2014, though they split three years before their divorce was finalised.
They share two children, Lou and Jonah, together, while the TV presenter also has two sons, Casper and Marselle, with his former partner Angela.
Meanwhile, Lisa was still married to Emmerdale star Chris Coghill when she signed up for MasterChef. The couple, who share adopted daughter Billie, split in 2011 after six years of marriage. Lisa and John officially started dating in 2012.
