There is traffic chaos on the M60 this morning following a serious crash between a lorry and a car. Lanes 1 and 2 (of 3) have been closed anticlockwise on the major motorway between junction 13 (Worsley) and junction 12 (M602) following the collision. Emergency services and traffic officers have rushed to the scene.
National Highways has warned drivers that there are delays of at least 45 minutes on approach and to allow extra time for their journeys. Traffic service Inrix has said: "M60 anticlockwise entry slip road blocked, long delays, two lanes closed due to accident at J13 A572 Worsley Brow (Worsley). Congestion to J18 (Simister Island)."
