"Hello, Jeremy," he said. "...I've not been to your pub yet. I trust I'm not banned along with all the Labour MPs... Actually, what he's saying is wrong. Wrong," he insisted. "We've been unveiling new names, new faces, policies for the last six or eight months. Actually, in considerable quantity. The trouble is he’s surrounded by the Chipping Norton set. The sort of Cameron set and New Labour, and no doubt they're feeding the stuff into his ear," he speculated.
He continued: "Look, he's very, very busy doing his farming and other things. And by the way, I think what he's done for farming is fantastic. He's woken the country up to how difficult actually being a farmer is.
"So I can tell you, Jeremy, there's a constructive plan for pubs that also cuts the welfare bill - I'm sure he will approve thoroughly of that, and you can tell him we're working very, very hard on a proper agricultural policy as well.
"So I think perhaps he's been reassured - just spend less time with David Cameron," he quipped.
His remarks came after Clarkson used his column in The Sun to take a swipe at the party. He titled it: "Do you know what Reform’s policies are? Neither do I… So here’s why voting for Farage won’t solve any of your problems."
He claimed the party have a lack of transparency about their policies in areas such as transport, agriculture, education, and the economy, and suggested Farage's immigration stance is enough for most Britons to vote for him
Some Reform UK voters will end up "expecting to wake up and find themselves in an Enid Blyton picture book. But it won’t be like that the following morning or the following month or even the following year. Or at all, ever again," he wrote.
The Clarkson's Farm star also mentioned the small boats crisis, asking what effective process Farage will adopt to make a meaningful impact there.
"It’s extremely easy to say you will tackle immigration, but actually putting those words into action is extremely difficult. As Mr Farage will doubtless find out," Clarkson predicted.
