Sarah Ferguson with Prince Andrew, Beatrice and Eugenie

Sarah Ferguson faces renewed scrutiny over her links to Jeffrey Epstein following the latest release of documents concerning the convicted paedophile - with Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice unwittingly embroiled in the controversy yet again.

The newly released papers include a disturbing photograph seemingly depicting Andrew Mountbatten Windsor on all fours above a woman on the ground. Additional references to Sarah and their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie emerge - with Andrew apparently sharing photographs of the princesses with Epstein and Sarah recounting an inappropriate joke about Eugenie to the disgraced financier.

Eugenie and Beatrice initially became entangled in their parents' downfall late last year when alarming allegations emerged that their mother brought them to see Epstein following his release from prison in 2009. Upon Epstein's release that summer, Beatrice and Eugenie were aged 20 and 19 respectively.

The email concerned was purportedly sent by Epstein to his solicitor, Paul Tweed, in 2011 - just one month after Sarah gave a March 2011 interview expressing remorse for her connections to Epstein and insisting she would have "nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again" Epstein purportedly instructed his legal team in the now-disclosed messages that Sarah "should affirmatively state that she was misquoted". The correspondence allegedly stated: "[Sarah] took apartments in New York. She was the first to celebrate my release with her two daughters in tow. She visited me with [a] policeman sitting at my front desk. She has asked for help with her charities."

A source close to Sarah maintained at the time the email emerged that neither she nor her daughters had any memory of such a meeting. But now newly released correspondence in the most recent batch of Epstein documents casts doubt on her assertion, as an individual identified as "Sarah" makes reference to lunch arrangements with Epstein and the princesses, whilst also expressing delight over a "compliment to me infront of my girls."

One message, dated 3 August 2009, is between Epstein and someone identified simply as 'Sarah". She expressed gratitude to Epstein for "being the brother I have always wished for", the email exchange seemingly reveals. The sender's email address has been redacted.

She continues by saying she has "never been more touched by a friends kindness" whilst discussing business prospects. The correspondence states: "Thank you so much Jeffrey. I had the best discussion with Target on Friday, and they want desperately the whole Mothers Army project They also want to get behind my entire Sarah Ferguson brand, books etc. Tommy Hilfiger wants to build my entire apparel, Fragrance etc etc brand, and sell it on QVC. NBC want my Mothers Army TV Show. Ben Silverman wants it. So too does Ryan Seacrest.

"In just one week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted. I have never been more touched by a friends kindness than your compliment to me infront of my girls. Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."

Another email dated March 2010 shows Epstein seemingly enquiring about a potential New York visit with the brief message: "ny?". The response came back: "Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a sh*****g weekend."

This exchange occurred around the time Eugenie celebrated her 20th birthday alongside her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Jack Brooksbank.

The newly released documents further reveal that following his release from custody, Epstein contacted "Sarah" to ask whether there was "any chance of your daughters saying hello" to an individual in London during 2010. Her response indicated: "Beatrice is in London with her father. Eugie is away with a cool boyfriend."

Elsewhere, emails appear to suggest a lunch was arranged between Sarah, her two daughters and Epstein.

In July 2009, Epstein sent an email asking "where are you? .. " The response from "Sarah" reads: "In Miami. What number shall I call you on now."

She continues, stating that she stayed at "Phillip Levine house with the girls. I am aiming to get to you for 12:30 for lunch. Does that suit?" Epstein then offers "a ride," which is declined. "I made Phillip give us his car and a back up one for the policeman," she says, confirming it will be "myself, Beatrice and Eugenie."

These exchanges all date after Epstein's 2008 conviction for prostituting minors. The emails do not suggest any wrongdoing.

The Express has reached out to Sarah Ferguson's representatives for comment.

Ferguson's daughters are reportedly 'aghast' at the revelations. A source close to Eugenie and Beatrice told the Daily Mail: "They are aghast at what they have read. They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them.

"We don't believe the girls were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man."

Another email from "Sarah", sent in 2010, contains a marriage proposal - just nine months after his release from prison. "You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness," she pens.

"Xx I am at your service . Just marry me."

Email between Fergie and Epstein

The collection also includes additional requests for financial aid. In 2009, following the collapse of a business venture, Sarah seems to write to Epstein: "I urgently need 20,000 pounds ($27,521) for rent today. The landlord has threatened to go to the newspapers if I don't pay. Any brainwaves?" Bank transactions further reveal that Epstein transferred $150,000 (£109,000) to Fergie after a share sale, wiring the funds to the former Duchess.

As the eviction deadline from Royal Lodge approaches, the future of Fergie and Andrew appears uncertain - especially in light of the recent file dump. Both have been shunned by the rest of the Royal family - and Sarah recently confided in friends that the loss of titles and their Royal residence was "not good for my mental health", adding: "They are out for blood in every way."

A source close to the former Duchess recently told MailOnline: "She's on a knife edge and bursting out crying several times a day. She's really not sure what the future holds."

Sarah Ferguson has maintained an extremely low profile in recent months. Princess Eugenie is understood to have severed all contact with her father.

The 35 year old founded The Anti-Slavery Collective to combat sex trafficking and is reportedly furious over her father's failure to apologise to the Epstein victims.

Princess Beatrice, meanwhile, is understood to be grappling with her relationship with both parents. The 37 year old is reportedly attempting to juggle staying in touch with Andrew and Sarah, whilst also preserving her bond with the wider Royal family.

Both daughters opted to spend Christmas at Sandringham with the King instead of with their parents. However, whilst Eugenie has effectively become estranged, Beatrice was photographed with her father just last week in what appeared to be a gesture of solidarity.

Beatrice and her four year old daughter Sienna are understood to have accompanied Andrew last week on a horse ride around the Windsor Estate, with the three spotted in the Royal Mews before venturing into Home Park. Images seemingly depict a dejected-looking Andrew riding in front, whilst Beatrice strolled beside Sienna and a stable hand.

Whilst the Princess has opted not to sever ties entirely, the continuing controversy has exacted a heavy price. With Eugenie believed to be anxious about potential future disclosures from the Epstein documents, Beatrice has reportedly withdrawn an offer for Sarah to reside in the granny annexe at her Cotswolds residence.

"Beatrice knows for the sake of her kids her future lies with the royals and it's why she backed out of renting her mum their granny flat," a source revealed to the publication, adding: "With more awful stories coming out, she has to put her own reputation first and give their kids a respectable chance at life."
