Prince Harry is unlikely to return to the UK next week for a Court of Appeal hearing regarding his security arrangements which take place on April 9 and 10 in central London.
This is because April 8 is an important date for his wife Meghan Markle, creating a clash in the couple's diaries, when the Duchess of Sussex releases her new podcast, 'Confessions of a Female Founder'.
The highly anticipated project with Lemonada Media, is about "candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities", according to the Duchess of Sussex.
Harry continues his legal battle against the Home Office over his personal security protection whilst in Britain, a security level which changed after Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals in 2020. The Duke of Sussex's appeal will be conducted mostly in public, following a recent Court of Appeal order, but the most confidential evidence will be heard during "short periods in private" sessions.
The Court of Appeal judges, Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Bean and Lord Justice Edis, cited the principle of "open justice" as the basis for their decision - therefore the press and public can attend most of the proceedings.
The Duke has taken legal action against the Home Office over a February 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec).
