Lady Louise Windsor has appeared in a new photograph alongside a huge group of friends at the University of St Andrews. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's daughter is currently in the third year of her English degree and enjoys several past times, including the Officer Cadets.

The new image, which shows Lady Louise in the top right-hand corner, sees her pose with her hands on her close friend, Felix da Silva-Clamp's shoulders. While it has often been suggested that the pair are dating, this has never been confirmed.

The post was captioned: "Last month our Officer Cadets celebrated their Annual Ball in St Andrews. It was an enjoyable night with a three-course dinner, speeches and an energetic ceilidh. Well done to our Officer Cadets for organising an amazing night!"

Lady Louise and Felix's friendship has been the subject of much speculation. It was reported that they began to grow close when they were cast in a student-written play to be performed at the Byre Theatre at St Andrews.

Several images of the couple have emerged over the last few years, with Felix, whose father is a solicitor, even travelling to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk to see Louise at her carriage driving competition in June, where she won a silver medal.

He also appeared to get on well with Lady Louise's parents, as he was pictured beaming while chatting to the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Lady Louise's passion for the Officer Cadets is well-known, with it even being thought that she has her sights set on becoming the first female member of the Royal Family to actively serve in the military since the late Queen.

The late Queen served as a Junior Commander with the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War Two.

As well as showing that she achieved an impressive 4 A* grades in her A-Level's - the highest of any member of the Royal Family -Lady Louise's LinkedIn page also indicates her interest in a military career, with careers in diplomacy or law as alternative options.
