Amanda Owen has been flooded with support from fans as she shared an emotional statement following filming the second series of Our Farm Next Door. The Channel 4 series shows Amanda, Clive, and their nine children, share the process of renovating a 200-year-old farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales. As the series shows the difficulties the family face in the process, Amanda shared a post with a number of behind the scenes images as she issued a thank you to those who had worked with them.

She penned: "Whilst on the theme of people behind the scenes involved in the renovation project it’s important to acknowledge the talented folk who create the tv series Our Farm Next Door. Reality appears to be used very loosely in many instances but we wanted a non scripted, no scene set up, accurate portrayal of the realities of farming, families, friends complete with the flare ups, feuds and **** ups! *click bait provided*. To be given this opportunity by @channel4 & @wiseowlfilms & to find ourselves working with a dedicated, devoted and it has to be said fearless team & crew has been brilliant.

"Nothing fazes them, be it snow drifts, incessant rain, ten people all talking at same time, swear words, incoherent mumblings & constant distractions they have taken it all in their stride & somehow managed to make sense of it all without going completely mad.

"They ignored all warnings of what not to work with, children & animals & have made what I reckon to be an aesthetically pleasing, gentle series that represents us, quietly explores the rich heritage of the area & what shaped our countryside.

"All whilst championing the often overlooked craftsmen & farmers who retain the knowledge, skills & understanding that was there long before our generation rebranded it & call it our own.

"Sustainable, regenerative, self sufficient , simple living, foods, comforts & a strong work ethic. I know that there were many less pleasant aspects & terrible hardships endured but we are fortunate that we can pick which elements of the past we take away & where we can make improvements."

The post continued: "There’s one overriding element that jumps out from the diary and that is that some aspects of life never change & it’s these human, relatable diary entries that resonate with me the most.

"So thank you’s going out to Paul, Jayne, Mark, Rebecca & Lindsay & all at @wiseowlfilms @channel4 & ultimately @jocantello1 who has never waivered or wobbled when I most certainly have."

Concluding the long thank you message, Owen signed off: "Don't worry, this is not an Oscar acceptance so I'm not to thank the farms namesake Anthony Clarkson.. he's dead." (sic)

One shared: "Bl**** loved it all! So beyond glad you are all back and still keeping it real and I truly hope we are allowed to remain with you till the house is at least completed."

A second wrote: "I'll bet there are some great outtakes, that'd be another programme (or several!) in itself! Such a lovely series showing exactly what you said."

"Absolutely loving seeing you all back on our screens," another shared, while another echoed this by adding: "Well said! It’s a brilliant show, love watching you all."

"You have a great way with words Amanda, I'm absolutely loving this series, I often feel jealous of the wonderful places you live and work in, there is so much history, and you are adding to it with the loving way you are bringing that cottage back to life," another remarked.
