A dedicated photographer spent 10 years embarking on a nationwide "garden safari" snapping breathtaking images of British wildlife. Andrew Fusek-Peters, 59, travelled the UK photographing native animals and birds to showcase the natural wonders that can be found "right under our noses."

He captured the spectacular images by shooting from his own kitchen window or in friend's gardens, public parks and green spaces across the country. They include a fox family playing in Clapham, South London, red squirrels fighting on the Isle of Wight and blonde hedgehogs scurrying along the lawns of Albany.

Andrew, of Lydbury North, Shrops compiled the extraordinary of photos into a new book "Garden Safari" was released on Thursday. His book features 250 photos - 72 of which were taken in his garden and 150 in his local area in Shropshire.
