David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly "deeply sad" over the growing tensions with their daughter-in-law, despite sources claiming they have "pulled out all the stops" to make the relationship work. There has been talk, allegedly from those close to Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz, suggesting that the Beckhams haven't supported her career or welcomed her warmly. However, according to friends of David and Victoria, the couple have consistently supported Nicola at every turn, feeling "no anger but just a deep sense of sorrow about how things have turned out."

A source elaborated on their efforts: "They have gone above and beyond to help Nicola with her endeavours." Despite her busy schedule, Victoria, aged 51, graced the red carpet event of Nicola's film Lola in Los Angeles last year arm in arm with her. The fashion icon also rallied around to support the London screening of the film, joined by the whole family: David, aged 50, Harper, aged 13, Romeo, aged 22, and Cruz, aged 20, reports the Mirror.

"Victoria was even hobbling on crutches after a foot injury but wouldn't miss it for anything, understanding how significant it was for both Nicola and her son," a confidant disclosed.

Following the LA premiere, Victoria expressed her pride on social media stating, "We could not be more proud of you. Congratulations on your incredible film......kisses."

In a similar supportive spirit, she added in another post, "We're so proud of you and all your hard work."

David, always the supportive father, echoed this backing for his daughter-in-law on social media, aiming to boost her film's visibility, as noted by friends.

A friend of the family stated: "Lets not forget that David has 88million Instagram followers, and he was repeatedly promoting Nicola's film, and expressing his love for her and the project. Privately, too, he was of course very supportive as well."

David even extended his condolences to Nicola when her dog passed away, sharing a heartfelt post penned by Nicola about her grief. The friend questioned: "Again, does this strike you as someone who is uncaring and not accepting of Nicola into the family."

This week, The Mirror reported on a growing rift after Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, failed to attend David's 50th birthday celebration at the upscale Core restaurant in London's Notting Hill.

Sources close to Nicola maintain their absence was due to Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25, with whom Brooklyn allegedly had a "brief romantic connection", and they claim the Beckhams "chose Romeo's girlfriend over family."

However, a Beckham family friend refuted: "Kim and Brooklyn did not date and she has nothing to do with any of this. In any case, why did Brooklyn not go to the Cotswolds party where Kim wasn't there...or the Scottish fishing trip with his dad and other brothers. It doesn't make sense."

An insider close to the family earlier this week commented on Brooklyn's absence: "It was a real blow to David. Brooklyn was close with his dad growing up but he is married now...things have escalated in recent months and there is a very obvious rift that David and Victoria would love to heal."
