JD Wetherspoon is set to open 15 new pubs across the UK over the coming months. The chain has confirmed the locations of six sites, while nine more are expected to open doors to punters by July 2026.
Wetherspoon currently operates 795 pubs across the nation. The pub giant now plans to open more sites after reporting a 5.1% increase in sales over the last year. They also revealed a 5.6% jump in like-for-like sales in the 13 weeks to April 27.
As reported by The Sun, Wetherspoon unveiled new pubs in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and at London Waterloo Station earlier this year. It now has six more locations confirmed, with exact opening dates for five of them confirmed.
Here is where the new pubs will be and when they will open:
Wetherspoon has receently opened four new pubs in partnership with Haven Holiday Parks. These include The Red Rocks at Devon Cliffs, The Humber Stone at Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, The London Stone at Kent Coast, and The Sir Thomas Haggerston at Haggerston Castle in Northumberland.
The latest news comes after it was confirmed that steaks, mixed grills and gammon will be axed from the Wetherspoon menu on May 14.
A JD Wetherspoon spokesperson, in a statement, said: "Wetherspoon is making changes to its menu in May. This includes the removal of steaks, mixed grills and gammon.
"We appreciate that some customers will be disappointed with the decision to remove steaks and grills. Wetherspoon is confident that its menu provides a variety of choices and value-for money meals."
However, they will be introducing new "gourmet" burgers and Korean-style chicken on the same date.
