As the Royal Family returned to Buckingham Palace following the VE Day parade earlier today, ready to take to the famous balcony for the flypast, eagle-eyed fans noticed something special. Prince Louis, seven, once again caught the attention of royal fans as he appeared with his siblings, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and his parents Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales.
The Waleses joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, her husband, Timothy Lawrence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke of Kent, 89, for the special celebration marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. As the royals returned to the Palace, Prince George walked with his father, while Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh was seen chatting with Princess Charlotte. Meanwhile, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne were seen keeping an eye on the youngest Wales child, Prince Louis - a sight that was not missed by royal fans on social media.
"Princess Anne keeping an eye on Prince Louis," said one on X (formerly Twitter).
"Such a beautiful, loving family," said another. "Prince Edward was looking out for Louis too."
Prince Louis also caught the attention of fans as he gave his father a hand with his military uniform. At one stage, the young prince turned to the left to face Prince William and repeatedly began brushing his right shoulder, as if to remove dust or dirt from his uniform.
Royal fans have rushed to comment on the cheeky young Prince's antics. On X, one wrote: "Awww Prince Louis was brushing off his father's uniform. What a button he is."
He also appeared to give a tug to his father's aiguillette - the ornate gold braid across his shoulder.
Monday’s events included a military procession and a flypast, followed by a tea party at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the King and Queen.
The celebrations commemorate the victory of Britain and its allies over Nazi Germany on May 8, 1945.
The Royal Family hoped to put on a united front without distractions for the celebrations, after Prince Harry’s bombshell interview on Friday in which he claimed his father won't speak speak to him.
