Warm weather is making its way back to the UK in just days with temperatures of over 20C expected in some areas. A weather map from WXCHARTS for Saturday May 10 at 6am shows temperatures in mainland Europe will reach up to 15C with some heat also spreading across to the UK. In the UK, the map shows temperatures will average at between 5C and 10C.

On Sunday May 11, maps from Netwether show the UK will begin to heat up. Most of England will see between 17C and 20C with warmest temperatures expected in London and Manchester.

In the South West of England it will be cooler at around 15C and 16C. Temperatures will be coldest in the north of Scotland with a chilly 8C shown by the map.

On Monday May 12, maps from Netweather show that at 3pm, the warmest temperature in the UK will be seen in London at 21C.

In other parts of the country, temperatures will range from 13C to 20C. As for Scotland, lows of 11C will be seen and in Wales, temperatures will range from 15C to 17C.

A long range forecast from the Met Office says: “Dry across the UK at the start of this period with clear or sunny spells for the majority of places.

“Cloud will likely thicken across the far north and northwest during the weekend with some outbreaks of rain for a time.”

The forecast continues that there is also a small risk of some heavy showers in the far south or southwest.

The Met Office say that through the following week, high pressure will be dominant across the UK.

It adds: “This will bring predominantly fine and dry weather for the majority of places. A few light showers are possible at times, but heavy rainfall is not expected.

“Temperatures are likely to be slightly above normal for the time of year, although there is a chance of some cold nights.”
