A driver has been arrested after four pedestrians were injured in two separate collisions in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, on Saturday.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and attempted murder and is being detained in a hospital.
Police said the incident is not being treated as terror-related.
Emergency services were called to Woodgate Avenue and Whitworth Road, which are about two miles apart, at around 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
One woman was airlifted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after being struck on Whitworth Road.
Three people, including a child, suffered minor injuries on Woodgate Avenue, and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The roads remain closed as the police continue their enquiries.
