Amanda Owen has been a television darling for seven years, impressing audiences with her effortless juggling of farm work and raising nine children - often with her hair perfectly in place. However, life hasn't been without its challenges for the 50-year-old Our Yorkshire Farm star in recent years.

The author's story began when she met her ex-husband Clive, 69, at just 21 while training as a shepherdess. Initially, her stunning looks and height led her to try modelling, but she quickly discovered it wasn't for her. A romance soon blossomed between Amanda and Clive, despite their 19-year age gap. At the time, Clive was already a divorcee with two children from a previous marriage.

The couple's life on Ravenseat Farm captivated the public, and their Channel Five show became an instant hit. However, behind the scenes, they struggled, and in 2022, they announced their separation.

Amanda and Clive are reuniting for a new series of their spinoff show, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, but a recent TV appearance left some fans worried about her well-being, reports the Mirror.

On Lorraine, Amanda opened up about her relationship with Clive, frankly admitting that "it's not all sunshine". She explained: "It's about moving forward. We've got plenty to amuse ourselves. There's space, there's room to get away from each other, if we're being absolutely brutally honest here.

"If we got on like a house on fire we wouldn't be separate would we? But the fact of the matter is, we've got nine children, I think people think we lose track of the fact we do reality [TV], reality comes with its ups and downs."

Amanda added: 'It's not all sunshine and spring time. That's the [not] reality, the reality is, we are just getting on with our lives and making it up as we go along."

According to MailOnline, some of her fans expressed their concerns about Amanda on social media, with one commenting: "Is Amanda ok? Something doesn't seem right" as another echoed: "She does not look well & yet Lorraine totally oblivious... or ignoring it." 

Despite her fame, life under the spotlight isn't always smooth sailing - and when information about Amanda's relationship with another man, who had worked as her web designer, emerged in 2023, her personal life was subjected to fresh scrutiny. Robert Davis, 71, was reportedly wedded to someone else during his affair with Amanda - Yasumi, 56. 

When his wife discovered their romance, she was allegedly left heartbroken, and has been openly critical about her thoughts on Amanda, accusing her in an interview with The Sun of "not caring" about the damage she had inflicted on their 12-year long marriage and leading a "double life". 

Investment banker Yasumi was left bewildered by her partner's call to Amanda, claiming that rather than consider her feelings, he aimed to safeguard Amanda's public persona. Yasumi explained how the revelation of betrayal came while witnessing a phone conversation meant to end the secret liaison. 

She disclosed to the publication: "He rang Amanda in front of me and told her I knew about their affair and that it was over." The affair spanned over approximately five years, but the response to her hurt seemed lacking. 

Yasumi went on: "He said they'd been having an affair for a few years. But instead of acknowledging the pain I was suffering, he was more concerned about protecting her TV career. She didn't care how I felt and didn't show any compassion." 

Robert's wife had been impressed by Amanda on Our Yorkshire Farm, which added to her dismay: "I'd watched Our Yorkshire Farm and couldn't help but be impressed by her. She portrayed herself as a wife and a mother, devoted to family, hard-working and an inspiration to others." 

She accused Amanda of dishonesty: "But she's been lying to the British public and living a double life." Amanda, however, responded with quite a different account, suggesting there were no hidden secrets from her husband regarding her relationship with web designer Rob Davies, whom she is understood to have since parted ways with. 

"I never set out looking for another relationship. Rob [Davies] was a friend that Clive and I had both known for a long time. He put together the farm website and the digital aspect of the business, everything that we couldn't do." 

She highlighted the openness of her connection with Rob: "What he offered was conversation rather than confrontation, and Clive knew about it from the very beginning – he actually suggested Rob and I would be a good match," Amanda shared with Mail Online in 2023. 

Further, she clarified the nature of her and Clive's respective extra-marital relationships: "At that point, a few years ago now, Clive was also seeing someone else and was openly dating. It wasn't a secret, everyone roundabout knew, even the children." 

Clive admitted taking sole responsibility for the collapse of his marriage, stating that his "anger drove Amanda away" due to their frequent disputes. He conceded to battling a bout of depression, which resulted in excessive drinking, and confessed to feeling envious of Amanda's growing popularity and professional accomplishments.
