Sarah Ferguson has sent a touching message to King Charles at the Community Based Cancer Support Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening. The 65-year-old joined her former brother-in-law for the special event, just one year after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma in early 2024.
Sarah, who was formerly married to Prince Andrew, was also diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023 and underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Sarah, who has worked with the teenage cancer trust for 35 years, said that she had been "kindly invited" to the reception by King Charles.
Speaking about the King, she said: "I think the King is an absolutely brilliant example on revolutionising [the discussion around cancer]. Also, he does that in everything he does. He always puts his whole heart into everything he does."
