Jeremy Clarkson didn't hesitate to rib his partner Lisa Hogan as he playfully mocked her for putting a book on sale that she hadn't yet written. The book, which is titled My Animals and Other Eejits, is so new that it doesn't yet have a cover – but it's already available on presale from Penguin imprint Century.

Jeremy shared a short clip on Instagram displaying Lisa working at her laptop outdoors in the springtime sunshine, while he sat across the table from her with an ice cold glass of Hawkstone beer. "Lisa, you know your book is already on sale? You haven't written it!" he accused her. She shot back that she was "almost finished" and "near the end".

"Jeremy you are Lisa’s rock, lowering the stress levels there with a cold Hawkstone!" one fan wrote in the comments, while another urged her to do an audiobook too, so that they could hear her Irish lilt.

In fact, Penguin has already confirmed that there will be an audio version available to download later in the year, as well as a hardback and an e-book.

Another teased: "Have another drink! It'll write itself!"

Until recently, fans had heard little from Lisa directly, with Jeremy and his side-kick Kaleb Cooper commanding most of the headlines – but now it looks as if Lisa could be busily building her own brand as a public figure alongside them.

The synopsis of the book promises that she'll give readers a true insight into what life is like running Diddly Squat behind the scenes.

It reads: "People from all over the world travel to sample the delights of the Cotswold’s unlikely new favourite farm shop. It’s the stuff dreams are made of, right?

"Well, when you’re dealing with uncooperative piglets, miles of council red tape, and a partner whose tractor skills are lacking, life is never so straightforward…

With the post already receiving more than 8,500 likes, Lisa has a ready-made audience eagerly awaiting the release of her 320-page book - but they'll have to wait until October to find out exactly what's inside, and as it's not yet finished, not even Jeremy knows the ending yet.
