Amanda Holden made a surprising underwear confession as she discussed her Easter break with her Heart Radio co-star Jamie Theakston. The presenter was live on air during their breakfast broadcast when she detailed the unconventional gift she received from the “Easter bunny”.

Reflecting on their weekend, Jamie, who announced he was cancer-free earlier this year, probed: “So the bunny arrived?” The Britain’s Got Talent judge shared: “The bunny arrived, and he left loads of chocolate, but he also left an array of knickers. And he was very thoughtful.” To which her perplexed co-host questioned: “Hidden in your garden?”

Amanda explained: “Hidden in plastic containers around the garden, so that the foxes wouldn’t sort of try them on, or the dogs wouldn’t dig them up.”

After Jamie remarked: “Some very racy foxes in your neighbourhood,” she added: “Well, you can imagine. It’s me, love! And he left G-strings for one, and he left full-bottomed pants for the others.”

The 54-year-old was still taken aback and continued to probe Amanda about her gifts.

She added: “Because he thought that might be more practical for people who might not want to have chocolate for the entire Easter period. And he was bearing in mind that the mother thinks that one of them has way too much chocolate as it is.

“And the sugar content might not be good, so some knickers were brought, which I thought was so thoughtful,” Amanda said.

Thinking into the future, Jamie joked: “Wonderful. I’m a little concerned that you did find them all, didn’t you? I’m just thinking when someone, the next person to move into your house, when they’re doing the garden, thinking, ‘What on Earth are these doing here?’”

Over the weekend, the radio host shared snapshots of her weekend on Instagram, including a photo from a garden showing a fun Easter egg hunt.

The TV star was most likely gifted the array of knickers by her husband, musician Chris Hughes, with whom she shares two daughters, Lexi Hughes, 19 and Hollie, 13.
