Darlington evacuation LIVE: Bomb squad at Student Loans centre over 'suspicious package'

The Student Loans Company building in a northern town has been evacuated following the discovery of a "potentially suspicious package".

The building is located at Lingfield Point in Darlington and police are currently on the scene.

A cordon has been put in place with people told to stay away from the area.
