A Drag Race UK star has had her say on former MasterChef host Gregg Wallace after she appeared on the show as a contestant in 2022. Kitty Scott-Claus, best known for appearing on the UK version of RuPaul's Drag Race, took part in an episode of Celebrity MasterChef with Gregg and John Torode.
Last year, Gregg quit his role after multiple allegations of inappropriate behaviour were levied against him, which he strongly denies. Food critic Grace Dent has been standing in for Wallace as a judge since he stepped away from his role in November.
Speaking exclusively with Express Online, Kitty has opened up about their experience on the BBC show and revealed what it was like working alongside Gregg at the time.
She said, "Yeah, he [Gregg] was normal with us; it was funny. It was like nothing that jumped out was inappropriate, you know. It was respectful."
The former greengrocer stepped back from co-presenting the BBC cookery show amid allegations of inappropriate sexual comments and inappropriate behaviour in November - which he profusely denies - following "13 complaints" from "over 4,000 contestants" in the 20 years he has worked on all forms of the show.
Among those accusing Wallace of inappropriate behaviour is former Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark, who took part in Celebrity MasterChef in 2011.

"We're trying to raise £50,000, which we're going to split four-way between Pancreatic Cancer UK, which is the official sponsor of the London Marathon, and Sahir House, which is an incredible charity based up in Liverpool, which my dear friend, the late Vivienne was a patron of. We've also chosen London Friend Antidote and Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline," she explained.
