Debbie McGee took to social media on Monday and revealed she suffered a burglary at her home in November. The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 66, gave an update as she explained a glazier was currently on the premise to fix the damage to her property. The widow of the late magician Paul Daniels posted a candid video on social media platform X and Instagram.

In the clip a large crane could be seen moving equipment toward her patio doors which had been smashed during the incident. Debbie began, "So what does your Monday morning bring you? So this is mine the beginning." The workers could be seen laying out glass panels in the early hours as they surveyed the damage.

She continued: "I got burgled in November and they broke two huge windows at the back of my house which is on the river.

"But because they can't get to them we need a crane."

Debbie signed off: "I'll keep you posted."

The former magician's assistant was inundated with messages from her concerned 27,000 followers as one penned: "I hope the work goes well Debbie."

A second commented: "Hopefully the work will be completed promptly. Having repairs done disrupts the household. Hope it all goes well."

A third penned: "Just a normal day then??" While a fourth mused: "Hope it goes well."

Debbie simply captioned the video: "My Monday morning."

The TV star did not divulge any further details about the initial break in which took place six months ago.

The news comes a year after the star's £3million home in Wargrave, Berkshire where she lived with her late TV magician husband Paul was under around 4ft of water after the Thames burst its banks.

She was forced to move to a nearby flat which was being paid for by her insurance company after her home was left without power - with much of the furniture, carpets and interior destroyed.

Debbie shared the home with her late husband Paul before he died in 2016 after a battle with an incurable brain tumour.
