Meghan Markle has been forced to apologise to fans this week after a major error regarding her As Ever launch. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has had to arrange for certain customers to be emailed after they brought a product which had already sold out.

The in-demand products include a Limited-Edition Honey, which was priced at £21.60 ($28). It is believed that the mistake happened as the website struggled to keep up with the amount of purchases being made at once, with all the products selling out within an hour. Fans claimed they received an email from the company explaining the error that occured.

It read: "The excitement created a volume of traffic on the site that even we couldn't have anticipated (with everything selling out in an hour).

"The orders were happening so quickly that the backend of the site didn't have a chance to keep up. The Limited-Edition Honey that you purchased was, unfortunately, already sold out."

It is believed customers were offered a refund, the opportunity to have another product, or the chance to get their hands on the honey at a later date.

Royal reporter Kinsey Schofield told GB News that the error was "embarrassing" for the Duchess.

Schofield said: "Meghan Markle had to issue apologies to her As Ever customers, because they purchased and paid for a $28 bottle of honey, and Meghan didn't have the product.

"So she had to reach out to those customers and say, I'm so sorry, this product doesn't exist, there was a glitch in the system.

“This is incredibly embarrassing for somebody that's trying to brand herself as a girl boss."
